Creative Outreach Worker

Dusty’s Heart is a 12-year-old non-profit working alongside churches in the west side of Portland, Oregon. We will be using creative ways to build community in several apartment complexes, focusing our efforts in lower-income areas. We will also do need-meeting projects, focusing on our Essentials Pantry (items needed that can’t be purchased with food stamps). We will do outdoor events like cookouts, block parties, outings (beach/rafting/hiking, etc.) with residents we are meeting. We work with the kids in each complex, doing kids clubs, and special events. We will do multiple Acts of Kindness throughout the time you are here. Each complex has a different personality, and we will use your giftings, talents, interests and ideas, as well as a few previous ideas we have used throughout the years, to reach residents with the love of Jesus. The Great NW is beautiful and has so many things to see and do. We look forward to serving alongside you!
