Deaf Camp Staff
Brentwood, Tennessee
#TN-01 | 2 students | May 23 - July 29
Are you fluent in ASL, looking to improve your ASL skills, or do you love working with the Deaf community and kids? The Deaf Camp offers opportunities to work with young children to teenagers, with Deaf and hearing staff, as well as interacting with the Deaf community, Deaf and hard-of-hearing campers and their families. These 2 months of Deaf Camp will provide you with the benefits of experience with Deaf community and children, ASL receptive and expressive skills, and leadership skills. Staff implement all classes including recreational activities, arts and crafts, field days, Bible study, Montessori times, and assist the year-round Deaf Camp staff with the imagination room and so much more. Students who will thrive working with us need to at least have moderate ASL skills, experience working with children or summer day camps, a heart for Deaf youth to know Christ, flexibility to be indoors or outdoors, and the ability to lead activities and classes.
