Ministering to people’s basic physical, emotional, and intellectual needs opens the door for us to minister to the greatest need of all – the spiritual. Student missionaries will assist in outreach programs for the homeless such as giving out snack packs, hygiene kits, first aid kits, and clothing. Depending on your strengths, you will have opportunities to minister to others at the center through leading Bible studies, literacy training, participating in our pottery ministry, teaching Adult Basic Education, computer skills, job readiness skills, life skills, and Christian Women’s Job Corp. There may be opportunities to serve survivors of human trafficking. Willingness and ability to work with people who have experienced significant trauma and those who may identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community is important. Learn more at www.baptistfriendshiphouse.org
